Raden Fatah State Institute of Islamic Studies, Palembang, Indonesia The International Seminar on Islamic Epistemology and Integration of Knowledge in the Islamic University was held at Raden Fatah State Institute of Islamic Studies, Palembang, Indonesia on Friday, January 30, 2009. The seminar was officiated by Governor Alex Nurdin and attended by senior officers, faculty members and graduate students of IAIN Palembang. Governor Alex Nurdin in his speech challenged the IAIN Palembang to move forward to become Universiti Islam Negeri (UIN). The challenge was received positively by all faculty and administrative members of IAIN Palembang. A Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between IAIN Palembang and IIIT to enhance cooperation in the field of human resources, research, exchange programs, publications and other related fields.
