7 April, 2009, 9.00 am-1.00 pm, Faculty of Social Science, Chittagong University A Seminar was held at the conference Hall of Social Science Faculty, Chittagong University on Integration of Knowledge and Its Implication to Curriculum Reform organized by Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought (BIIT)-Chittagong Chapter on 7th April 2009. Prof. Dr. Mulyadhi Kartanegara, Professor of Philosophy, UIN Sharif Haiayatullah, Jakarta and Director, Centre for Philosophical Studies and Information, Jakarta, Indonesia was the keynote speaker in this seminar.
Prof. Abdul Noor, Department of Public Administration, Chittagong University was the Chairman of this seminar while Prof. Dr. Kazi Salah Uddin, Dean, Faculty of Social Science of Chittagong University was the chief guest. Mr. M. Abdul Aziz, Deputy Executive Director of Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought (BIIT) delivered on introductory speech where he focused the aims & objectives of this seminar. In his speech he also introduced Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought (BIIT), International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) and Prof. Dr. Mulyadhi Kartanegara. Then Prof. Dr. Mulyadhi Kartanegara presented his papers on: 1. Integration of Knowledge: A Theoretical Construct After his deliberations, a good number of participants took part in the discussion on Prof. Mulayadhi’s presentation. This seminar was very illuminative and interactive. Finally vote of thanks was given by Dr. Md. Lutfur Rahman, Executive Director of BIIT.
