Prof. Dr. Abu Sina, Dept. of Association Information system Paper presented at a workshop on Islamic Epistemology & Curriculum Reform Epistemology is the study of knowledge: more fully, investigation of the origin, nature, limits, justification, and forms of knowledge. Scholars believe that the formal and systematic study of science has the capacity to transform the special traditional branch of philosophy. It has been a focal concern of western philosophers, especially in the modern period. In many quarters of contemporary thought, however, there has been rejection of epistemology- centered philosophy, because there is a scope to be a fundamentalist. The western world believes that the religious groups who wish to establish their religious thoughts among others are fundamentalists. In fact I am proud of being a fundamentalist. Because a good Muslim is a fundamentalist, a good Hindu is also a fundamentalist; a good Christian is also a fundamentalist. Therefore, all religious good persons are fundamentalists. |
